The Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 1923. We can be proud of our past and look forward to our future. Murphysboro is rich in its history. With the help of the Murphysboro Main Street Program, several businesses have renovated the business facade to match the original look of decades ago. Also, the John A. Logan Museum is a great learning tool with archaeological digs that get our children involved and teach them what Murphysboro once was.
Opportunities are available for new businesses as well. Currently, there are several businesses taking advantage of our Technology and Industrial Park. Murphysboro is fortunate to have two great lakes, Lake Murphysboro and Kinkaid Lake, right in our own backyard for the boating, camping, and fishing enthusiasts. For nature lovers, we are blessed by the beautiful landscape of the Shawnee National Forest.
On behalf of the Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce, we invite you to help shape our future. Together we can make sure Murphysboro is a great place to work, play, and raise our families.
As of January 18, 2021, the Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors voted to cease our relationship with Executive Director, Steve Webb. Currently, all day-to-day operations are being handled by the officers of the Board of Directors. Our office hours are currently by appointment only. You can contact us by phone or email. Our phone number is (618) 684-6421. Please leave a voicemail and we will respond as quickly as possible. Our email address is director@murphysborochamber.com and is being checked frequently.
In the coming months, we will be actively seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Executive Director.
The Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to further building our relationships with our members and serving our community to the best of our ability. Thank you in advance for your patience and we look forward to a brighter 2021!
